Information

Audition will be by an online video submission of a variation from the classical repertoire (or a video of class work, including a short barre, centre work and pointe work for the girls). Confirmation of acceptance in the program will be by email. The video must be sent by e-mail with a link to help visualise the video easily.

Deadline for submission of audition video for the program is July 1st, 2024. Age for selection to the program: minimum 16, maximum 21, both boys and girls. Number of participants limited to a maximum of 15 students. Registration is confirmed after selection by video and payment of the deposit of €790 of the program fee. This deposit is not refundable. Access to the studios is allowed only after payment of the remaining €1100, which must arrive at the latest one week before the beginning of the program.

The selected students will be housed at Chateau Mathias, 196 Route de la Sauvegarde, 47200 Virazeil, with the organizers and all the teachers.

Transport by minibus is provided between the studios and the accommodation as well as to and from Bordeaux-Merignac airport or Marmande SNCF train station upon arrival on the 17th of July 2024 and departure of the selected participants on July 29st 2024. ( Please note that there is no pick up from the train station in Bordeaux).

DAILY   PROGRAM

Mornings:
– 90 minute Ballet Class given by Thomas Gallus
– 90 minute Repertoire Class with Dominique Khalfouni
Both classes will be given daily and alternately by Mme Dominique Khalfouni, Etoile from Paris Opera Ballet and Ballet National of Marseille, Roland Petit and M. Thomas Gallus, International Ballet Master and Director of the Exclusive International Ballet Program.

Afternoons:
– 90 minute Kenneth MacMillan Repertoire Class with Robert Tewsley, former Principal Guest Artist, Ballet Master and specialist in staging the works of Sir Kenneth MacMillan, choreographer of the London Royal Ballet.
– 90 minute Marco Goecke Workshop given by Rosario Guerra, soloist with the Staatsballett Hannover.

Evening rehearsal:
The day ends with a 60/90 minute rehearsal of scenes taken from the Classical Ballet repertoire in preparation for the end of course Open Performance Night.

All classes are accompanied by Junko Hata, pianist accompanist.

Second edition of the performance ‘La Nuit de la Danse’ at the Theatre de Comoedia Marmande Sunday 28th July.
This special night will be an opportunity for the students to, not only show the work progress accomplished during the course, but also give each one a chance to dance on stage in professional conditions.
The students will also get to share the stage with past winners of the Exclusive Ballet Program, who have now turned professional themselves and have become soloists in various prestigious Dance Companies all over the world.
Renowned Artists and Principal Dancers will also be invited to take part in this exceptional night of “LA NUIT DE LA DANSE”

Round tables will be organised with the teachers to discuss participants’ artistic and professional development (work methodology, personal advice, support for auditions with professional companies and major ballet schools, orientation recommendations based on the artistic potential of each student).

A period of insertion with an international renowned ballet company :

5 – The opportunity to participate in the Gala des Étoiles des Hivernales de la Danse in Liège (Belgium). The journey, and hotel (including breakfast) expenses will be covered by the Exclusive international Ballet Program. The Gala consists of two performances and the repertoire will be decided by the director of the ballet program after consultation with the director of the Gala des hivernales de la Danse.

6 – An invitation to the “Prix des Hivernales” in Liège, Belgium.

The jury reserves the right not to award prizes.

Fees

The price of the package for the Exclusive International Ballet Program is € 1,890.

Package includes:

– Seven and a half hours of dance instruction per day for ten days accompanied by a live pianist.

– Food (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) with drinks.

– Transport (On arrival at the SNCF train station in Marmande or Bordeaux-Merignac airport and return, as well as between accommodation and studios)

– Shared accommodation at Château Mathias (11 nights)

– Round tables organised with the teachers to discuss participants’ artistic and
professional development (work methodology, personal advice, support for auditions with professional companies and major
