


Information
Audition will be by an online video submission of a variation from the classical repertoire (or a video of class work, including a short barre, centre work and pointe work for the girls). Confirmation of acceptance in the program will be by
email. The video must be sent by e-mail with a link to help visualise the video easily.
Deadline for submission of audition video for the program is July 1st, 2021. Age for selection to the program: minimum 16, maximum 20, both boys and girls. Number of participants limited to a maximum of 15 students. Registration is confirmed after selection by video and payment of the deposit of €600 of the program fee. This deposit is not refundable. Access to the studios is allowed only after full payment, which must arrive at the latest one week before the beginning of the program.
The selected students will be housed at Chateau Mathias, 196 Route de la Sauvegarde, 47200 Virazeil, with the organizers and all the teachers. Transport by minibus is provided between the studios and the accommodation as well as to and from BordeauxMerignac airport or Marmande SNCF train station upon arrival on the 17th of July and departure of the selected participants on July 25th. ( Please note that there is no pick up from the train station in Bordeaux).

Teaching artists
Program
The program consists of 7 and a half hours of dance each day.
A two hour ballet class with Thomas Gallus, one and a half hours repertoire with Clotilde Vayer, and one and a half hours of repertoire from the world famous choreographer of the Royal Ballet, Sir Kenneth MacMillan with Robert Tewsley. To finish the day, 1 and a half hours rehearsal with Thomas Gallus for the Open performance, followed by one hour on a new creation by the contemporary choreographer Julian Nicosia.All classes are accompanied by Laurent Choukroun, chief pianist of the Paris Opera Ballet school.
Students will participate in an open performance on the last day of the program, with prize-giving after deliberation by the jury.Round tables will be organised with the teachers to discuss participants’ artistic and professional development (work methodology, personal advice, support for auditions with professional companies and major ballet schools, orientation recommendations based on the artistic potential of each student).

The jury will award prizes to the students who have shown merit during the
week
1 – The opportunity to participate in the Gala des Étoiles des Hivernales de la Danse in Liège (Belgium). The journey, and hotel (including breakfast) expenses will be covered by the Exclusive international Ballet Program. The Gala consists of two performances and the repertoire will be decided by the director of the ballet program after consultation with the director of the Gala des hivernales de la Danse.
2 – A period of insertion with an international renowned ballet company (The Czech National Ballet in Prague). The travel expenses ( within Europe), and accommodation will be organised by the ballet program and the Czech National Ballet.
3 – A period of insertion with an international renowned ballet company (The National Ballet of Portugal in Lisbon), plus a donation from the town of Marmande. The travel expenses (within Europe) will be organised by the ballet program. The dates for these insertions will be decided by the director of the ballet program along with the ballet directors of Prague and Lisbon. Please be aware that meals are not included in these prizes.
4 – An invitation to the 2nd edition of the “Prix des Hivernales” in Liège, Belgium, 18th of march 2023.
The jury reserves the right not to award prizes.

Fees
The price of the package for the Exclusive International Ballet Program is € 1,600.
Package includes:
– 7 and a half hours of dance instruction per day for seven days accompanied
by a live pianist.
